CONFERENCES:

Conferences are held two times per year, with one in the spring and one in the fall. The locations are varied between different regions in the state and typically last three days and two nights. Conference activities include training sessions and workshops, as well as social and recreational activities. The opportunity for contact, sharing of ideas and information, and mutual support and encouragement is considered by many members to be KPHRA's most rewarding and important benefit.

CERTIFICATION PROGRAM:

The KPHRA Certification Program consists of formal classroom training specifically organized to meet the needs of KPHRA members. It is based on a point system which recognizes both education and experiential achievement. Training credit is provided at both conferences, while experiential credit may be earned for both full time and partial responsibility for human resources functions in one's professional position. The certification program is coordinated through the Institute of Government at Eastern Kentucky University.

KPHRA WEBSITE:

The new KPHRA website has been created to assist its members with obtaining information about trends in Human Resources, as well as information about KPHRA and its activities. While general information about the organization will be available to all visitors, special sections will be deemed members only and will provide information on HR issues, legal updates, networking and other pertinent information for members.

HR INNOVATION AWARD:

This new award is being introduced to recognize members, and their organizations, who make innovative accomplishments in their workplace practices or projects.
